Cute, but too long for a petite person

These pants are a nice, unique soft fabric. I hope they hold their shape and don’t stretch out. They are too long for a petite person even though I ordered petite. I will have to spend more money to have them shortened. On the fence about returning. I think Nordstrom needs to get more/better sizing information from designers.
