Premier Hard Anodized Nonstick 13-Inch Deep Skillet with Lid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm just so perplexed how we can launch spaceships but can't make a perfect pan... I got this pan as a warranty replacement item for my old pan that was 10+ years old. Construction: it is very heavy and seems to be well built. However - the lid handle gets hot which is likely because the insulation is not designed properly. Also - to my surprise - with hand washing and using plastic/silicon utensils - the coating has developed scratches within 2 months. Since it is a teflon product - scratches are a reason for concern so I will be switching to ceramic products from now on. The problem is that Calphalon does not offer a comparable pan in a ceramic coating - this one is 13" and deep which is perfect for large meals - and the largest ceramic version seems to be only 12" and much shallower.
