Details & care
Our warmest, waterproof Expedition collection uses 600 fill-power down to give you uncompromising warmth all winter long. The shell is waterproof and seam-sealed (in other words, WINTER-proof). And it has all the bells and whistles you need for a day in the cold, including plush fleece lining in the hood, chest pockets (lined in our softest fleece) that you can use as hand pockets, as well as side vents for easy movement. Adjustable cuffs even keep the cold from creeping up sleeves. Yes, it's safe to say nothing is keeping us from an outdoor expedition — even if it's a walk to the mailbox and back.

Disappointed
It's probably very warm, but it's a really heavy, bulky, boxy, masculine jacket. I returned it.

600 Fill is inadequate
For a coat to be comfortable and warm at below zero temperatures, the fill should be at least 800 fill. Landend is charging a high price for a coat with even less fill than the 650 found in average down costs. If the implication is that this coat is extra warm…for an expedition… the fill should be at least 800! For shame, Lansend.

The perfect winter-proof parka
I bought this back in January and it managed to be delivered right before the northeast got plunged into its current arctic hellscape, and I am SO GLAD it did--it has truly been a godsend. It's super warm, durable, wind and waterproof, relatively light and super easy to wear, and as a bonus it looks great too. I only wish I'd gotten it years ago; I look forward to many more winters in this amazing parka.

Great coat
So warm and cozy. Love the zipper up feature, makes so easy to sit in the car. Wore it on a few really cold days with negative degree windchills (one day was -25) on college tours with my child and was outside for a while and was warm and toasty.

JUST BUY IT
Best money ever spent. I love this jacket so much. Keeps me warm even on the coldest days. Easy to move around in. Would buy again and again.

Great for Artic Cold Weather
I bought this coat just in time for the Midwestern super cold weather and snow. It keeps me toasty warm. It is roomy enough for me to wear layers underneath, although they haven't been necessary. The only downside for me is that the coat is heavy by weight. I'm a senior and not as strong as I was 5-10 years ago
