After emigrating from Poland in the 1900s, brothers Philip and Hyman Berlinsky opened a men's clothing store in Charleston, South Carolina. In the 1940s, they started designing and creating their own trousers, and today Berle is run by the fourth generation of the family. Not true to size

Bought a 38 beige and a black Shorts of the same brand, the beige one was likely a 36 and the black one fit fine.
