Pleated One Shoulder Chiffon Gown

I ordered this in a 14 and 16 because you just never know. The 14 was big on top so I didn’t even try the 16. It was large enough I ordered a 12 next. The 12 was too small to even zip. Would’ve kept it but there were already loose threads. And for the price, it wasn’t worth keeping. The pink color is gorgeous and that’s the only reason for 2 stars.

I love the style of this dress. I purchased it based on other reviews and thought I would love it. I picked up at Nordstrom Santa Anita since they did not have this gown in store.. The color is a little bit darker in person not the color I was going for the dress itself is on the lighter side but very flat fitting. The chest area is on the thicker side so if you are slightly top-heavy, this dress will make you look even more top heavy. I return this dress right away.

The fabric was pretty. I needed about $400 in alterations for top and hem. The bodice is very roomy and needed to be taken which was complicated because of the pleating. Also I traded the bow for a silk flower from Etsy Overall - the color, fabric and drape are very high quality and I was very happy with the results! Be sure to consider the cost of alterations for any formal dress. Under $1,000 was my target price. All in - this dress was perfect.
