Beaded Mesh Gown

The website was easy to navigate & provided all the necessary details. The dress arrived as promised & packaged so nicely! The best is yet to come... the quality of the workmanship was beyond expectations. The beading was perfectly aligned & the material was substantial resulting in a high quality piece. Not too mention that the fit was mint! As mother - of-the groom... here I come!:) Thank you Nordstrom for always being a class act.

Absolutely stunning, but I could only find a size 10. Nordstrom's pinned it up 2 inches at the top of the sleeves. My friends say it looks great everywhere, including the silhouette. But the midsection seems a little formless to me. It falls straight down, like a flapper drop waist dress. Wish I could try a 8 or 6, but they're sold out. The photo shows a fitted, long sleeved jacket with see-through sleeves. For reference I am 5'5", 122 pounds with wide hips and a very square torso. I wear anything from a 6 to a 10. Usually an 8.

I wore this dress to my son's wedding and have never gotten so many compliments on a dress before. It's elegant and unique. I felt and looked fabulous in it. Other reviewers warned that it runs large, so I ordered a 4, one size down from my usual 6-8, and it was a perfect fit. The beading from top to bottom makes it feel heavy, but I soon got used to it. I did leave a small trail of beads behind when I sat down, but very few. One great thing about this dress is that it's not overly long and I was able to wear a low-heeled shoe with it. Also, the online photo makes the beads stand out in contrast to the navy sheath, but in reality, the beads and little sequins are all dark blue and don't show up quite so obviously. I hardly ever write a review, but this gown is such a winner that I wanted to share my experience.

This is the second time I've purchased a PN dress to wear to a wedding after trying on dozens of other dresses. The weight of the beads intimidated me at first, but I quickly got used to it. This elegant dress is so comfortable, and very forgiving. It does run big though! I wear Size 6 tops and 8 in pants. After trying several sizes, I ended up with a Size 2!!! .........and still needed to take in the waist...... (both times). Another plus - I'm 5'4 and with 2-3 inch heels, the dress is the perfect length and doesn't need any hemming.

Beautiful well made gown; I really wish there were other color selections offered. Unlike the model who is 5'10 (like most American woman. NOT) and wearing heels, I am barely 5'2, 34D and overall curvy. I ordered down to 6 from my usual size 8 because the sizing is a bit generous. The fit is flattering but forgiving, and the gown hits about one inch from the floor wearing 2.75 inch heels after I had the shoulders hiked up an inch so did not need to be hemmed after hiking up the shoulders. Perfect MOB gown. NOTE: due to the slightly heavy weight from the beading, I would not recommend this gown for an outdoor summertime wedding--may be too hot for some people!
