The search is over!
After several months of searching for a conservative and classic design that is age appropriate (age 54), I have found it! This dress (navy blue) is absolutely beautiful, and the quality is lovely. The best part is this dress is very comfortable. The fit is exactly as expected-beading has an intricate design and lays flat. Between the sparkle of the beading and the luster of the taffeta, this gown reflects enough light to catch your eye without making you look like a pageant contestant. I am 5'7", 165 lbs and the size 10 fits perfectly. Thank you Nordstrom!

Quality is Bad
I bought this item along with a few others for a formal wedding. The dress was ripped near the bottom of the zipper. I was willing to pay to have the zipper replaced, but it was frayed and ripped at the base along with the fabric being snagged. There were also sequins that had already fallen off in the box when it arrived. It could be that this item was used based on the state of the zipper.

Disappointed in a service.
The sales person with whom I worked was terrific...friendly and helpful. I don't have the dress yet. After buying this formal dress for my daughter's wedding I was unhappy to learn I had to pay a large fee to have it shortened. I expected that service to be complimentary from Nordstrom.
