Picarol Double Breasted Wool Blend Coat

I bought this coat thinking it would be lined as the description said. Unfortunately, it is *not* lined, and picks up lint because there's no lining, so I'm probably going to return.

Not to be dramatic but I’ve waited my whole life for this coat. Incredible color, fabric is soft and shiny, and fit is perfectly oversized and what I’ve been looking for. Got it for a steal on Black Friday. In LOVE!

This is a stunning piece (ok I said that FOUR TIMES. I KNOW.) The fabric is soft and drapes beautifully. It is sooo modern-romantic. Makes you feel like somebody ought to be painting your portrait or something. It’s oversized, but in a smart way: the arms and length aren’t ginormous, so once you find your size, you’re not swimming in fabric. The Medium Brown is LOVELY: brown is the Black of the moment, and this shade goes with EVERYTHING. This is an exciting piece. It makes me look forward to cool weather. The only drawback? It’s not meant for super cold weather. But a lot of coats aren’t. I have a puffer that I can wear for super-chiller days (which, sadly, are fewer and further between in NYC). For the rest of them, there’s this lovely accompaniment to today’s looser fitting clothing. It’s a drapey work of art. LOVE!

Was looking for a good chocolate brown coat that wasn’t too thick, and this fits the bill. I’m normally a large but medium for oversized, so I purchased a medium. It’s generously oversized but drapes nicely, so doesn’t look ridiculous. I could probably even fit a small for a more standard fit, but possibly would be a little restraining in the shoulders/upper back. I’m 5ft tall with short legs, and it falls above my ankles. It’s overpriced for what it is, but it’s a nice coat, and I hope it lasts a long time.

I was swimming in this and read somewhere that you should order your usual size. Def not! I just returned and ordered two sizes smaller. I looked like I was wearing a tent. Ginormous! It’s a gorgeous color and I love the cut but it’s a very very large coat.

I returned this unlined coat but I’m rating it highly because I think it’s a good option as a fall coat or for someone living in a place with very mild winters. It has the exact casual-cool menswear vibe I was going for. Fit hits the mark too - perfectly oversized without being overwhelming. (I’m 5’3”, about 125# and I got a Small.) The fabric is thin with a lot of polyester, but feels more luxe than I expected, with a nice balance of structure and drape. If I’d gotten it a couple months ago, it would have earned a place in my closet. But it’s already too cold where I am. I opted to send it back, thinking I’ll shop for something with a higher wool content for next year.
