Petite X Center Station Bracelet in Sterling Silver with 18K Yellow Gold, 5.2mm

Let me first start by saying I purchased this bracelet, the regular X cable bracelet, and the X flex bracelet to compare and had the plan to only keep one. This bracelet is listed as 5mm but there is NO way! It’s thinner than the 4mm in the same style (cable and flex). Also, the gold X on the top is smaller in size than both the cable and flex. Regardless it’s very cute if looking for a stacking bracelet and I love that it’s more sturdy than the cable and flex and less bulky on the wrist. BUT, I do not like the hinge opening aspect. This is not listed in the description. Since the bracelet is made of hard, non movable silver, you have to pull on the bottom of the bracelet to open the hinge, put the bracelet on, and the close the hinge. There is NO lock switch or button which I do not like because I feel like it would be very easy for something to get caught on the end of the bracelet and pull open the hinge and the bracelet falls off I it’s lost forever. The hinge has little to no resistance when pulled on. I wonder what other people’s opinions are of this. I also read a review on Reddit and the hinge broke and had to be replaced in less than a year of wearing it. Also, this is not a bracelet that you can put on and forget about because of the hinge, you shouldn’t shower and swim in this bracelet since the water can get inside that area. Overall, it’s so cute and I love the way it looks but I’m debating on keeping it because I need jewerly I can leave on and forget about and not risk loosing.
