10 Stars - Buy it ASAP before it sells out again.
This robe is absolutely fabulous. It was recommended by the NYT Wirecutter newsletter, as their favorite splurge. Of course, that means it sold out quickly, so I had to wait a couple of months to get it. However, it was well worth the wait and the cost. The silk is simply luxurious, it drapes beautifully on the body. I adore this elegant and sophisticated pattern. In fact, I liked it so much that I ordered the matching pjs, as well as, the matching nightshirt and a Pima cotton nightshirt in white with black. The fit is true to size and generously proportioned, it’s perfect. Note that Petite Plume is the name of the company, it’s NOT related to sizing. In reading other customers’ reviews, it appears that some were confused by the name. Petite Plume’s silk robes and pjs are nothing short of stunning, in addition to feeling heavenly. The best sleep I get is when wearing Petite Plume’s silk, it’s like sleeping on a cloud. There are NO REGRETS or misgivings with Petite Plume. Warning; it might be habit forming.

The material is thin, slightly rough for silk, and there is no lining. It doesn’t have much weight to it so it doesn’t flow and drape like a luxe robe should. Sleeves were short and rather than having a cuff they just have piping. Details just aren’t nailing it for such an expensive robe.

very strange fit!
I’m a size 12 but wanted oversized and flowing. The silk is stunning likely very comfortable. But - The fit is so odd! It’s where the belt loops and the inside ties are positioned. I feel like the back of the robe was cut for a size 8-10 and the front was designed for someone size 22. The back of the robe is tight and the front is overflowing with silk material. Not a bad thing - but not flattering at all! I might keep it because the material is so luxurious but I would never wear it in front of another human. So unflattering, sadly. What a conundrum! Very poor design. But the material is truly gorgeous.
