Una Fit & Flare Midi Dress

I was a huge fan of Petal and Pup when I first found them through Nordstrom. XS seemed to always fit me perfectly. The last three dresses I have purchased have been quite big on me. I know my body hasn’t changed because other brands are fitting exactly the same as they always have. I am worried that Petal and Pup has succumbed to “vanity sizing.” This particular dress has fun details and the stitching and the thick straps. However, at their smallest link, the straps were still a good inch and a half too long for me on each side. The fabric is good quality.

Brown stitching is noticeable. Dress has more stretch than it looks. I usually wear an XS but I got a S instead. That was a mistake. For reference: 5"3' tall 34" bust 27" waist 37" hips I have a small waistline so I usually stick with fit and flare. I will have to have it altered mostly because the hem sits right above my ankle - not midi on me. Fabric is a tad heavy. Not a sundress, but I'll take quality fabric over junk. But I love it! It's a great dress because I can dress it up with heals, jewelry, and hair...but I can also walk out of the house wearing a casual pair of sandals. Definitely a keeper!
