Anabelle Funnel Neck Satin Midi Dress

Love this dress. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because the print on the dress I received does not match the image in the description. I was hoping the torso area would have a much more ornate floral print like the image in the description, but the floral pattern is not laid out the same, so floral orientation definitely varies.

So many things I liked about this dress and I did keep it & wore for Wedding Guest dress. S few things I didn’t like or would have been 5 star. + Beautiful fabric. Thrilled to find spring colors on black background for a Spring black tie wedding. + fit was excellent. Perfect at waist & slimming over hips but not tight at all especially when sitting. + Great dress to dance in! I’ll wear it again. - the asymmetrical cut was a little wonky and I felt like I had to keep rearranging to make it lay well. - the fabric is a bear to iron. Took at least half an hour. Lots of steam iron but not too high heat or fabric gets shiny, I hung it in steamy shower w zero effect. Fabric was clingy & full of static. Spraying underneath w hairspray helped a lot ( didn’t have “cling-free” w me )

This dress that I spent $90 on arrived balled up in a tiny bag. Luckily, the fabric was not too wrinkled. I immediately noticed the dress smelled strongly of perfume, and I investigated for other signs of wear (like deodorant stains or other odors) but I found none, other than the buttons on the back of the neck were undone. So I went to unzip it and found the zipper would not go down past the waist. Upon closer inspection of the zipper, the zipper was clearly damaged with the teeth not connected in one section. So I couldn't even try it on. Returning and ordering another because I really want this dress, but I'm disappointed in Nordstrom for sending me a used and damaged dress. I expect better from Nordstrom and hope the 2nd dress is actually new and undamaged.

Pleasantly Surprised! I need a dress for a big evening summer engagement party where it needs to be dressy but not too over the top. For under $100 this dress looks more expensive and stylish than pictures. I am EXTREMELY picky about dresses and fit. I loved how this dress fell on my body and it has a slimming factor. I ordered Medium (Size 8) because I am a 34D on Top and hourglass athletic shape overall. I had room on top and around my waist. Going to order Size SMALL hoping it's even a better fit and less fabric on my body. You can wear a bra with it and tuck the strap on the halter side in, which was a plus for me. For my event, I will be wearing minimalist black high heel sandals with this dress but you can easily wear any type of heel or wedge. It looks perfect if you can find the right size.
