It is also the lightest rotating infant car seat available at under 8 pounds. Peri 180° also features TensionFix™, which solves the most common installation problem 7 out of 10 parents unknowingly have––loose vehicle belt tension. A patent-pending red-to-green tension-sensitive indicator shows you when your belt is tight.

Why kids will love it: Extraplush padding on the removable head and lumbar inserts offers a cozy, secure fit for tiny travelers. A new canopy design zips out to extend, providing full-coverage sun protection and privacy for your little one. Easy-to-use magnets secure the canopy to the car seat, and they’re so quiet, you won’t wake baby when you decide they need full coverage. The shell features ClimaFlow technology that provides added ventilation.

Cool idea bad execution
Cool concept but it really isn’t safe and seems to be made cheap. We’ve used the car seat and base combo for less than a month and the rotating portion won’t lock in position at all anymore. It just hangs up at the locking point but in event of a crash or someone simply bumping the car seat it spins freely.

It’s decent
Everything about this car seat sounded and looked great, did lots of research and chose this over the Nuna (I regret it now) It was okay for the first couple of weeks until it wasn’t. It has been a pain getting the car seat to unlatch from the base. I’ve had it get stuck a few times. Had to wiggle it around, turn it back n forth for it to release. It also isnt stable and it is wobbly, doesn’t feel secure. I actually want to return this car seat but I’ve already discarded the box and Nordstrom won’t take it back. **also it isn’t compatible with other brand strollers* I regret this purchase.

Rear facing only
I am a car seat tech and had this seat come to me to be checked. From the door everything looked good, removed the seat from the base and saw the green indictors and thought nice they did a good install. Pulled on the seat not very hard and the locking lever popped open. The indicators still remained green. Most seats with a lock off go from red to green when the locking mechanism is fully engaged, not the presence of the belt which does not require much force to trigger green. I reinstalled it myself and saw green and again the lever wasn't locking into place. This seems like a poor design that can give a potential false indication that everything is good. Secondary the family thought it was a rotational seat that can go forward facing which in my head I am thinking no because it is a infant seat but after looking at the marketing and the use of 180 I can see how parents might think this is a rotational seat like others on the market

Great car seat with luxury touches
I received the Peri car seat as part of a product testing program with Dorel. Amazing quality and ease of use! It is easy to clip and unclip the car seat from the base and I feel confident the base is installed correctly because of the red-green indicators on the base. I love the ease of clipping and unclipping the seat from the stroller as well, makes quick trips a breeze! Favorite feature is the additional pull down sun shade build into the normal shade. Its always attached and helps to prolong naps without having to make sure I have a blanket or something else to provide additional shade. Luxury materials like the leather handle and plush seat. And the ability to rotate the seat is great for taking baby out of the car seat when out and about. Overall great car seat!
