What it is: An eau de parfum from Penhaligon's inspired by desert winds.
Fragrance story: Bracing desert winds. A riddle of bergamot and balsam. Dusk greets a convoy of fragrant woody amber, and just in time for tea. Warm myrrh makes tarrying tempting, but is it all a façade? Surely not.
Notes:

Exquisite
I received several samples of different perfumes from my Nordstrom shopping online and This is the third one I tried and the only one worth a review so far. It's spicy, misterious and sexy. I just imagined this is the kind of perfume Cleopatra would used in her dates with Julius Cesar and Mark Anthony. I can't wait to wear it and see what people says about it. I don't think I'll buy it though, I'm always changing and switching scents , but I definitely loved it!

Love myrrh, just not a fan of this scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the sample size of Petra. This is my first introduction of the brand Penhaligon's. The story behind the fragrance I felt enlightened me to the thought process behind the scent. I am a fan of the myrrh however just not this combination. The warm balsamic and spice leaned heavy with my body chemistry making it less enjoyable on the dry down. I will try different scents from this brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smells great and I love the bottle design. Looks like an expensive brand of perfume just by the bottle it comes in. However, it is very nice and isn't over powering like some of the other brands I have used in the past.

Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fragrance is a glorious blend for me. It's spicy and warm, substantial, but not overpowering. It calls to mind the sensation of being at the opera, and the heady swirling intoxication of the many luxurious fragrances worn by the ladies all around me. Glorious. This is love for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Petra Eau De Parfum is a good quality I just am not a big fan of the scent. Its to overwhelming for me and just does not mix well with my body chemistry. It is just not a type of scent i like. I like the fresh scents clean and crisp light scents.

Great smells
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this smell. The fragrance is just enough that it does not over power a room. It’s a good fragrance when you want to go out and smell nice without making everyone in the room know you are there before you walk in.

Smells great!
