Kuddler Dog Bed

For anyone curious how this bed actually holds up long term…this is a review after owning this bed for 2-2.5 years. When this bed initially arrived, it looked to be decent quality, however, after owning the bed for 6-9 months it completely flattened out and the cushion literally became as flat as a pancake- to the point it felt like my dog was just laying on the hard wood floor. I have a 40 pound dog, so not a super heavy dog either. Additionally, the bed is a magnet for hair and dirt and is difficult to clean. You have to unstuff the whole thing, wash the cover, and then wrangle the bolsters back in. Half the time after washing, the dog hair stayed “stuck” in the fabric and didn’t even come out in the wash. Most recently when I went to wash it (after finally upgrading to a better bed with plans to donate this one to the local shelter) the hair that had collected in the deep parts where the zipper is literally made it *impossible* to unzip the bed as the zipper kept getting stuck/jammed up on the hair. After wrestling with the zipper for nearly 20 minutes, I finally had to sadly just throw the bed away. I’ve bought dog beds for a fraction of the price of this one from lesser known companies and they have held up better than this. For $200+ I am extremely disappointed and will never purchase a dog bed from LL Bean again. Reviews of other beds make me think their quality simply isn’t what it used to be.
