Capri Sneaker (Women)

I have an unfortunate addiction to Paul Green sneakers, especially the ones with zippers. When you fly a lot of long haul/red eye flights & your feet swell, grabbing the zipper and loosening it is way easier than undoing laces. I usually wear an 8.5 in their Avery and Tate style sneaker (thinner sole more compact style) but in this Capri I had to size down to an 8. They are too expensive but very comfortable and super cute.

I loved the look of these - the champagne is a great neutral - and they were comfortable for my narrow heels and wide forefoot, in my standard 8.5 (6UK), but I had one big problem with them: there's a big lump at the end of the zipper (where it starts), and it hits *right* on the ball of my foot. The ball of my foot pushed against the thick, unyielding base of the zipper, with multiple layers of thick material and metal, instead of against the soft shoe material. Maybe for someone with a narrower forefoot this wouldn't matter, but for me it was very irritating, bordering on painful. I reluctantly had to return them.
