runs smaller than size chart

This is a gorgeous vest, looks like something I might have made with the embellishments and embroidery. Fully lined, back belt is removable. BUT I got a large and it is definitely smaller than the size chart states. There is not XL here but I will search for it elsewhere. Just very eye-catching and beautiful blues.
