Amazing!
The perfume bottle:
The cap and bottle are heavier than a standard perfume bottle, as they are made of a metallic glass. The bottle is opaque, and it seems that it would protect the contents from light.
The fragrance:
Herod smells of rich pipe tobacco with creamy vanilla. A very pleasant sweet woody spicy fragrance. Instead of the typical Oriental accord, this one contains Osmanthus, a sensuous apricot-smelling note. Herod is not as sweet as Pure Havane and Tobacco Vanille. In my opinion, Herod is hands down the very best tobacco fragrance ever created and should be a must have for your collection.
This is how Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille should have been made.

Not so Sexy
Even though I don't smoke, I really enjoy the scent of tobacco. Something about it just makes me feel sexy. But this cologne was disappointed. The other ingredients that were used somehow overpowering. Made my head feel funny. Had to return it.

Herod is the bomb!
Before dropping the dough for this fragrance I read dozens of reviews. After making the purchase and trying it for the first time, I can tell you that the hype is REAL. This, by far, is my favorite fragrance. I haven't gotten tons of compliments from strangers yet, but my wife finds it to be irresistible.

Perfect Fall / Winter Fragrance
I tried this one on at NorthPark. To me this is my new Fall / Winter scent. Ive worn Tom Ford Grey Vetiver (which i LOVE), but to me this one is a bit more sophisticated and stays on even longer than TF. Adding to my Christmas List. Gotta love Parfum vs Toilette

Heavenly Scent Bad Longevity
The best tobacco scent out there. Smells very nice and sweet. Try it on your skin not on the paper, they're slightly different. A 100 times better than TF tobacco vanilla which I tried and returned. The longevity is bad though for the price. You have to re-spray every 3 hours. These 8 hours longevity claims are a joke.

This one will not be for everyone. To myself the smell is masculine, yet very smooth. The tobacco smells rich and of course not smoked. The vanilla sets it off.

Went in to purchase a refill of something else, but then came across this amazing scent. One whiff and I was hooked and wondered how I survived without it despite its price tag. My most favorite parfum EVER!
