cannot wait to return this
I have this exact silhouette from Madewell in the wool/alpaca blend and it’s a dream. The cotton version is thick and stiff. It wrinkles too easily and stretches in weird places. I usually wear XXS or XS. I ordered this in size XS. It runs small, which translates to feeling itchy. My arms feel constricted. I’m just not a fan. This is my first disappointing purchase from Madewell. I like the length and the oversized buttons, but thank goodness for Nordstrom’s return policy because this product really missed the mark.

Runs small on me
First, I do love the substantial weight and feel of the cotton. I am in the pro-pockets camp, as I love to have somewhere to put my hands, especially if I am chilled. So I wish this did have patch pockets. I am normally a M and ordered such. I am 5’4” with average arms. The sleeves on this just fit, bordering on being too short. This surprised me due to the description and how it fits on the model. It’s not “oversized” on me. Maybe it’s a size mismark? I am debating returning and reordering but undecided. The anniversary price was pretty good, which I missed out on, but I’m not sure about full price at $138.

Cozy and high quality
I've been looking for something like this in a natural fiber to replace a worn-out acrylic version. It's made of a quality thick cotton and fits oversized without swallowing my petite frame. The blanched almond color is very pretty. I usually size down in Madewell but took my regular size small to keep the look relaxed. I will wear this all the time in the fall or winter working from home or as a second layer over my pajamas (or both, ha!).

I love the versatility of this cardigan. I can wear it to work with slacks, skirt, or dress, and pair it with jeans or leggings for home. The quality is very nice and it's a medium to heavy weight - great for Fall. I usually wear a size Large (12-14) and I ordered a Medium. The Medium fit perfectly with room to spare so size down if you're not looking for a very oversized look. Oversized Cotton Cardigan
I bought this sweater on the Anniversary sale downsizing to small from medium and it's a wonderful fit especially with the sweater open. Is a midweight soft knit sweater which will be great for fall. Purchased the Vanilla color which I love. A Great purchase.
