Oversize Cotton Button-Up Shirt

I saw this shirt on Youtube and was smitten. Unfortunately when I ran to make it mine, I noticed that the size I usually get in tops (medium) was out of stock. Small was there, though! Since I'm often between these sizes I snapped it up. A few days later, medium restocked and I snapped THAT up. I resolved to compare them and keep the one that fit better, and return the other one. I write this review as the owner of this shirt in both a size small and medium. I knew pretty much after I opened the small, which arrived first, that I might be in trouble. My gripe with so many white button-up shirts is that they feel flimsy and thin and tend toward sheerness. I own white button-ups from Uniqlo, Jenni Kayne, and Amazon, and I've just noticed this tendency, but THIS shirt has some real substantial weight to it. It's not sheer. It hangs beautifully. The cotton fabric feels thick and high-quality and like it will keep me warm this winter under sweaters, and cool in the summer on its own. When the medium arrived it took me about 3 minutes to realize that I would pay double the price to have one of these shirts, and so I decided to keep them both depending on how I want to style them, or in case I ever spill red wine on one or something. I NEVER do this; I have enough clothes that I know better than to hoard spares, but this is the first time I've ever found a white button-up that actually does everything I want. I hate imagining life without it now. Shirts like this don't come along every day. If you can grab one, do it!
