Overnight Recharging Mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overnight recharging mask is very nourishing and spreads easily over the face. It has very pleasant herbal aroma…. well, like all other products from Sulwhasoo. It didn't cause any irritation for me; the only thing was that my face looked shiny— clearly due to the oils in the formula…but it didn't clog my pores. By morning, my skin felt nourished and rested. The manufacturer recommends using the mask 2-3 times a week or as a course of treatment. I use it 3 times a week and I really like effect, but I think it's more suitable for cool climates, as it might be a bit heavy in summer.

I will say I was slightly surprised by the consistency. most overnight masks are thick, heavy, and the do not melt into the skin well, so you end up wasting a lot of product on the pillow. the Sulwhasoo Overnight Recharging Mask is the complete opposite. It's pretty light but provides a punch of hydration. I would say the texture feels in between the Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream and the Ginseng Rejuvenating Cream Rich. the only issue was the mask would make my eyes burn if I got it anywhere near my eyes. you know that feeling you get if you sweat and you're wearing sunscreen? It was like that, but it would go away once I wiped my eye and the surrounding areas with a clean tissue.

This mask is extremely hydrating and really helps with signs of aging in my face. I also love the light scent, it just smells clean and soothing. Just spread this in your face before bed, and when you wake up, lightly rinse. That’s it! No scrubbing, really no effort on your part. Just enjoy the rewards when this turns your skin around. I was worried an overnight mask might feel sticky or greasy while I sleep, but this one doesn’t at all. It just feels comfortable, moisturizing, and soothing on my skin throughout the night. It also has a really nice, light scent that I enjoy. In the morning, it washes off easily and leaves my skin feeling so smooth, soft, and refreshed, almost like my skin got a little reset overnight. I love that it’s such a simple extra step but still makes my skin feel noticeably more hydrated and renewed. The bottle is also really nice and holds a good amount of product, and it’s easy to pour out just what I need without making a mess. The whole range has a slightly herbal smell from the ginseng, which I find quite pleasant. Now specifically for this mask, I highly recommend it. One of the biggest factors in youthful-looking skin is retaining moisture. I’ve tried the “slugging” method in my nighttime routine with Vaseline, but it would just make me feel greasy and dirty my linen. This mask is very lightweight, almost like a thicker moisturizer, and spreads transparently over the skin. After application, I give it 3-5 minutes before I lie down on my pillow to make sure it has set well. The result is refreshed, moisturized skin in the morning. Love it! I’ve been using it for a week now and plan on keeping it as part of my routine.
