Great fit, more generous regular calf than most
These boots are awesome. I am a pants size 14-16 and originally ordered the wide calf, but they were way too wide and gapped at the top. I took a chance and ordered the regular calf, and though they are snug, I can get them on. The zippers are great — very sturdy — and the footbed is very comfortable. I used sone boot stretch spray and wore them around the house all day to break them in and they were just as comfortable at the end of the day as when I first put them on.

Too small around the ankle/lower leg
While the dimensions of the calf likely would have fit (I measured my calf against the provided size chart) the ankle and lower leg shaft of the boot does not fit, so I was unable to zip up the boots. I am a large woman, but not that large really, and my ankles are in proportion to my calves.
The dimensions provided for these boots should include both ankle as well as calf measurements.

Beautiful boots
I was looking for a knee high riding boot with some structure and I’m so glad I picked these. I had originally ordered size 8.5 wide, extra wide calf and the calf was too large and the length a tad short so I exchanged them for a size 9 wide-wide calf which fit like a glove. My calves are about 17” for reference. Overall, they’re comfortable out of the box, and the leather is smooth and holds its shape. The footbed is comfy and my calves aren’t suffocating.

Nice design
The wide is on the top but not on the bottom it’s really wide if you have really big calf, I was expecting it to be also wide on the bottom but on and on it’s a nice boots not too warm, but it was perfect for that snowfall we had a week ago.
