Tight ankle strap

Cute sandals
I almost didn’t get them because of the reviews regarding a tight ankle strap. I did not experience a tight ankle strap. The sandals fit normal for me. I can wear them on the 2nd or 3rd hole. I am 5’9 and weigh 170. I consider myself to have normal size ankles.

tight ankle strap
So I didn’t pay attention to the other reviews. I had put one sandal on to see if it fit but didn’t buckle the ankle strap I guess. When I finally did, in prep for vacation, I noticed how tight the strap was. Made an otherwise comfortable shoe horrible. Went back.

made for a child size ankle
despite seeing reviews about the ankle strap I optimistically still wanted to give these a chance since I do have smaller ankles. while I was able to get them buckled they look absolutely ridiculous because the design of the strap stops halfway in the front of my ankle and the solid part of the strap with holes begins. generally a fan of dolce vita but don’t understand how this company even put these into production with such a ridiculous fit.
