I bought on the Nordstrom anniversary sale and really wanted to love this but when you spray it at first it smells like mosquito repellent. After it settles in the skin it smells sweeter like your brewing a tea.

No, it’s not the same
It’s not the same as it used to be. I say this because I still have one of the original bottles. Though the smell overall starts off the same, the original had a rich undertone which this one doesnt have. Plus the old one would last all day, and this is gone in 15 minutes. So sad.

Perennial favorite.
I've worn Ginger Essence for over 30 years and it will always be my favorite. Within the last two weeks I had someone stop me while I was out shopping and tell me, "you smell amazing." It was the Ginger Essence! One strategic spritz on my body at the beginning of the day is all it takes, and I am very sensitive to scent overuse. This is truly the best.

Like I've just left the spa...
I've been searching for a light and clean scent that makes me feel like I've just left the spa. This reminds me of that post-massage/facial appointment after you've lathered on the resort spa's products. My boyfriend likes it too. Deducted 1 start for its staying power but the price point makes it a great product still. Can't wait to pair it with the matching body cream and wash :-)
