What it is: A facial oil that defends against free radicals, supports natural elasticity, and contains beneficial vitamins and fatty acids.
What it does: Exotic floral oils give skin a bright new glow while gently supporting a youthful appearance and replenishing hydration. A blend of orchid extract, jasmine sambac and Japanese camellia flower oil combine to defend against free radicals, support natural elasticity and feed the skin with beneficial vitamins and fatty acids, such as omega 3 and 6, to protect against premature aging. Formulated with no fillers, just effective natural ingredients, this facial oil absorbs easily and contains moisture, vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants to nurture skin. It supports skin’s natural lipid barrier to lock moisture in and protect against dryness.
How to use: Apply 3–10 drops to cleansed and toned skin morning and night. Massage in and allow to absorb for 1–3 minutes before applying makeup. Store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

best kept secret.
I'm a 52 years old. I've taken care of my skin since my teen years, so I have pretty good skin, and very little sun damage. I've been using other facial oils 3 times more expensive, but Herbivore has done an incredible job with these line. I've used the Phoenix oil for many years and it works fine for me, but wanted to try something different. My goodness I am hooked to Orchid from now on! It has a floral scent, very delicate like jazzmin, but it fades away so it's not a bother. This facial oil works amazing. My skin feels nourished, and glowing. Absolutely marvelous!

Better for normal not dry faces in the winter
I purchased the smaller size to try on my face during the winter. I may try it again in the warmer months and see if it is a better fit then. I loved the texture and scent but the oil was not as rich as my face skin needs in the winter. I tend to use hyaluronic acid with great success in the winter with some other rich oils or serums.
I live in Manhattan and the winters can be brutal on my skin and my skin leans toward the sensitive/dry side. Thus why I need very heavy products for the winter months.
If you are in a warmer climate I would absolutely try!

My skin is very dehydrated but still prone to breakouts so it has been a really long struggle finding something that works. I'm so happy I invested in this because I'll probably never use anything else.

The Perfect Summer Oil
Big fan of Herbivore facial oils- This was the last one that I got around to adding to my arsenal. I was looking for a facial oil that would compliment my nighttime oil (Sunday Riley UFO) during the Spring/ Summer when my skin isn't as dry. Not only is the floral notes of the Orchid light and lovely, but the oil is just the right amount of moisturizing while not creating excess grease. I also found that the oil soaked into my skin much better than the Blue Tansy oil (which I'm also a fan of). I have super sensitive skin (PMLE and acne-prone). This oil was pleasant and didn't cause any flare ups.

Orchid scent is too strong
This oil felt nice on my skin and I really wanted to love it but the floral scent was just too strong for me. I do tend to be sensitive to smells so take that into consideration perhaps when reading this review. I say if strong floral scents don't bother you then definitely give it a try.
