I’m a big fan of EF merino wool. I have this sweater in Charcoal size L. I do not find the fit oversized. I like everything about it, it’s very comfortable and good looking!
I also just ordered it in Sea Salt.

Coarse fabric, scratchier than expected
I was expecting this sweater to be a lot softer (most of my merino items feel more like cashmere, or like a cotton t-shirt — this one definitely feels more like wool and I wouldn't want to lounge around in it). It's less polished/feminine than the product photo appears; it looks more like a "dad sweater" (bulky sleeves, tight crewneck). The color is also more of a faded black than a proper charcoal.
I'm 5'6" 120 lb and bought XS, could probably have sized down through the torso (though the sleeves on the XS felt just long enough), and my wider hips (36") made the band ride up a little.
