Outdoor-lifestyle brand O'Neill began in 1952 when Jack O'Neill opened a surf shop along San Francisco's beachside Great Highway, a surfers' hangout. O'Neill first ventured into apparel with neoprene vests and wetsuits, and by the 1980s the business was a thriving international company with legions of loyal fans and a reputation as an authentic beach-to-mountains apparel brand.

Zipper sticks and breaks easily
I was in search of amphibian shorts with no buttons on the back pocket for my 10 year old. Spent a small fortune and bought one of each color in this style and one of each color in Billabong Crossfires. I plan to return all the oneils even though I like the color, because the zippers on the oneils stick on some, broke on others. If you are deciding between the two styles, Billabongs are better although Nordstrom seems to have a hard time keeping Billabongs in stock.
