Outdoor-lifestyle brand O'Neill began in 1952 when Jack O'Neill opened a surf shop along San Francisco's beachside Great Highway, a surfers' hangout. O'Neill first ventured into apparel with neoprene vests and wetsuits, and by the 1980s the business was a thriving international company with legions of loyal fans and a reputation as an authentic beach-to-mountains apparel brand.
