Cloudventure Waterproof Trail Running Shoe - Women

I bought these shoes on a recommendation of a friend who is a runner. I need a pair of waterproof shoes that would be comfortable to hike and tour Peru and Columbia and I needed to pack lightly so I was looking for a double duty shoe. I ordered these in the pink (cute color not obnoxious) in a 9.5 which is my usual size for adidas, hokas. I took them to a trip to Disneyworld to break them in and it rained while I was there. I only brought these shoes and flip flops and my feet were killing me!! For these shoes, especially if you are wide foot, go up a whole size. I’m not sure that’s true for all the on cloud shoes. I’m looking at the Cloud swift and it doesn’t look like I need to size up. These shoes just have a very rigid material for waterproofing. Similar to leather. And when I buy all leather shoes I tend to size up. They were very good for waterproofing.

My husband and I went out west for a vacation. I knew we’d be doing some hiking and was satisfied with some other On shoes I had purchased so I decided to give these a try. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size up. These shoes have been comfortable since day one, and I really think they’re quite stylish. We made it through the VIa Ferratta in Telluride with no problems.

I’m not a runner, and I don’t own any trail running shoes, but I bought these exclusively for desert hikes. I have yet to wear them hiking, so my 4-star rating is based solely on appearance and fit. Note: they run about half a size small! I’m a true 8 and I have never needed to size up, but thankfully I ordered an 8.5! It’s a snug fit but not uncomfortable. I’ll try to update to comment on comfort while hiking and overall longevity.
