Olea Stripe Midi Dress

I ordered this (and one other style dress) online in search of a “wedding guest” dress. My normal size L was out of stock so I took a chance on XL (I often size up if a top is fitted in bodice). The XL fits perfectly and is really a good style for me. I love the cotton material, style (retro), length (midi), color. I expect to get much use out of this. Noteworthy: my regular bras didn’t work with this. Straps show in back. I already had a low back bodysuit (Honeylove) that works perfectly with this. Is better than my bandeau bra (smoother & more secure).

Unfortunately, after washing it exactly as instructed, the outer fabric shrank significantly while the lining didn’t. Now the lining hangs below the hem, making the dress look sloppy and unwearable. It’s incredibly disappointing because I followed the care instructions exactly and loved how it fit before. If you’re considering buying this dress, be aware that it may shrink after the first wash, even with proper care. I expected much better quality.

This is a splendid summer vibe dress. It is true to size, but probably too tight on the chest area if you are a girl with big breasts. The material of the dress is fresh, fun, and versatile because you can dress it up with some heels or pair it with tennis shoes. The dress is linen, and be careful with throwing it into the dry machine because the upper textile will be shorter than the linen.

I loved the fit of this dress in the bust and the pockets were a bonus. However, after the first wash, done by hand in cold water and then laid flat to dry, the shell of the dress shrunk nearly an inch leaving the lining showing. It’s really frustrating that the two fabrics differ and react differently to the stated laundry care instructions. Nordstrom was able to help with alterations made to the lining length and I kept because of the exceptional fit, but a word of warning when purchasing. It didn’t feel like there was more I could do when washing aside from using weights to re-stretch the cotton layer.

I ordered this dress for a baby shower for a boy baby and the fit was perfect. It’s very comfortable and even has pockets. I’m 67 and wants something that was modern but also age appropriate

This dress is even cuter than it appears in the photo. It's crisp, stylish and fully lined with great fit and flared skirt. It can be casual or easily dressed up for a business meeting or dinner. I'm a size 0 and usually need some alterations, but the extra small fit me perfectly.
