Off the Shoulder Brocade Ballgown

I’m wearing this dress to my daughter’s outdoor garden wedding this fall, and it is absolutely perfect! I’m 5’5”, 170 lbs, and ordered a size 12 — it fits like it was tailored for me, no alterations needed. The off-the-shoulder neckline is flattering without being fussy, and the deep green and navy floral pattern is gorgeous for an autumn setting. The fabric has enough structure to keep its shape while still moving beautifully as I walk — perfect for an outdoor venue where you want to look polished but still feel comfortable. I can already tell it will photograph beautifully against the garden backdrop, and the length works perfectly with 2.5" heels. I feel elegant, confident, and completely wedding-ready.

I'm 5'6 and 120lbs. I fluctuate between a 4 and 6. I tried both in this dress. The size 4 fit, but was uncomfortable on my arms and the fabric felt scratchy. The 6 was more comfortable. It's a nice dress, but my family agreed that it's "too matronly" for me to wear to my son's wedding. I like the belt and pockets. It makes me look a little wide in the midsection. I returned both sizes and got a different dress.
