Long wide leg shorts
I bought both this short and the NYdJ relaxed linen short to try….and I had to look at the tag to figure out which was which. That’s my way of saying the “Denim” in the description of these shorts is a little misleading (but it’s not necessarily a bad thing). This short is a lightweight cotton blend, somewhere between a twill and chambray for weight. Not traditional denim at all. For summer it will be nice. I’m not sure if it would wrinkle or crease…but it looks like linen so that casual style could be OK for these shorts.
This short is WIDE leg, plus 11 inch length, I am petite and it falls just below my knee. The shorts almost are so wide they look like a skort…. In comparison the other style relaxed linen short are more defined in width, hit above the knee, but also have a lightweight blend fabric.
I keep trying these shorts on over and over to figure out if I like the style or not…it’s bulky in style, but then again I like it when I think of it as a faux skirt look. .I’m actually online to buy a size down to see if that helps me decide or not. I bought my true size and the waist band fit in a relaxed way, so I might have space to go down one.

made for giants
NYDJ sizes are way off. I had to return two pairs of jeans that were too large and about 2 inches too long with 3 inch heals. I’m 5’4”. Had high hopes for these shorts- downsized to a 4 but shorts came below the knee and were very baggy and unflattering. Had to return. Third time trying this brand and it was not a charm.
