too small/too short
These pants were way to small and didn’t even teach my ankles. I’m 5’11 and 155 lbs.

Different sizing for NYDJ
NYDJ is my favorite brand jeans at this stage of my life. I appreciate the fit that accommodates my thicker mid section. However, these pants do not go by the typical NYDJ size chart. According to the NYDJ website, Size S is supposed to accommodate sizes 0-2-4, M 6-8-10, L 12-14-16. My ‘normal’ size in this brand is 6 but I also have size 8 & size 4 in my collection. I prefer this straight, pull on style for the smoother front, without a zipper. So when I ordered size M, I thought they’d fit great, maybe even a little big. But, they are a pretty snug fit, for my taste anyway. And, they did not stretch out much, if any at all, even after wearing straight for 3 days! Impressive, even though I was hoping they’d get looser. Jeans always stretch out! These do not! I’m not used to having my jeans so snug in the rear & thigh areas. I’ve never worn a size 10. Ever. So, I decided to try the size L. I figured if they don’t fit, I’ll return them. I got them & there isn’t much difference between the size M & the L. The waist is about 1 inch bigger, the seat and the thigh area are a tad bigger but still snug. But, in all, the size L is more comfortable. Never would have guessed! Try these but size up. I think I can get comfortable with the more fitted rear & thigh & I think these might become my favorite. I’m keeping both sizes because I know there’s a thin 5-pound-line that I straddle so I’ll be comfortable in both sizes from day to day. For reference only, I’m 5’4”, 135 (today).

Really, NYDJ?!
This type of jean is becoming more popular so I'm unsure why NYDJ would not be producing them in each size instead of making only 3 sizes. I purchased the L which Nordstrom said would fit 12-14. If I size down as is often recommended for NYDJ I wear a 14. When I received these yesterday I noticed the sizing posted by NYDJ is 12-14-16. NO WAY! There is not that much stretch. Perhaps a size 12 could wear them! They are cute and well made but back they go!!! Come on, NYDJ, make all the sizes and quit skimping!

Not 3 sizes!
I got these because they were supposed to fit 3 sizes! I’m between a large and a medium, and they were out of large so I ordered medium. Too small! I took them back.
