Warm and waterproof - Worth every penny.
This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof.
I’m 5’11”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big.
It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist.
I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn’t my style.
A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic (not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I’ve had no issues with the double zipper.
Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there.
Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat.
Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up.
Chest-level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold.
I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through.
I’ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy!
Keep in mind, this is the “Nuuk Lite Insulated” version so it’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “Nuuk Insulated” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England.
I highly recommend!

Barely any insulation
My major issue with this coat was that it simply wasn’t warm. I wanted to get a light winter coat that could handle 30-45 degrees F, and reviews I read online led me to believe this would work for that. But it didn’t. It was extremely poor at retaining heat, and unless it was above 45, I would cool off incredibly quickly.
On top of that as others have mentioned, the zipper isn’t great. I’ve used left handed double zippers before, for some reason, even by those standards, this one was impossible.
The only saving grace is that the cost is excellent at keeping the elements at bay. Rain, wind, snow, nothing gets through the coat to make you feel colder. It’s just a shame the coat isn’t better at the baseline level of warmth.

Awesome jacket. Napoleon pocket for hands awesome!
The jacket is great! Reviews regarding double zipper, not true. You just need to learn how to zip it :) (or do you still wear shoes with Velcro? :)
Zipper is great if you need to unzip jacket from the bottom.
Very warm, length is great, hood is adjustable so you can actually see something when walk. Highly recommended!
Great product, runs a big larger than other brands.

Almost great!
Have had about a year and only have 2 gripes but they’re significant. I hate the velcro especially on the sleeves. Put a couple snaps there. The velcro takes too long to adjust especially with fleece or wool gloves. The other issue is the zipper is awful. Just awful. It’s difficult to manage under ideal circumstances and nearly impossible with gloves,
It is VERY comfortable and warm. I’m gonna stick with it but am gonna be making some modifications.

Why not G1000??
Everything about this jacket was good except the material felt very cheap and scratchy. Wish it had the G1000 material so bad. It would be the perfect jacket. I had the Singi for several years and loved it, but was looking for a lighter version of it. I was hoping they’d made the change for this season but looks like they didn’t.

Perfect for the PNW
I purchased this jacket to replace a Skogso. I wanted something that was waterproof and with a bit more cover. This jacket is fantastic. I live in the PNW and we have damp "cold" weather. (rarely below freezing.) so this jacket is better suited for here the the standard Nuuk Parka.
