NOURISHMENT Phyto 7 Nourishing Day Cream

I was dazzled by the reviews and hopeful for a great product. Maybe this works for others, but for me, not so much. There are many PHYTO products I like, but this is not one that worked for me. It made my hair, not shiny, not more manageable, but just sort of more frizzy. I wish Nordstrom would carry the Rahua line. Their hair balm is really good and is a truly clean product.

This product is now part of the "nourishing line" instead of the "hydrating line," and it shows. It doesn't even have the right feel in my hands. It didn't hydrate my hair, instead it left my very long straight hair feeling heavy, sticky and snarly. Waste of money. All of the changes to increase profit will backfire as they will destroy the Phyto brand.

I used to be a medium fan of the phyto 7, I am not anymore. The new formula has Xanthan gum added along with previous ingredients of guar gum, Xanthan gum was added to prolong the shelflife of the product, not to help you hair. It also has a few other chemicals that have been added, but I know for a fact that the xanthan gum makes the product consistently completely different . It does not absorb into the hair it sits on top of the hair and weighs it down. It does not enhance natural growth pattern or curls at all. It actually is more of a hair straightener. So if the hair straightener is what you are going for to remove the natural curls and flexibility of your hair then I suggest this product. it’s heavy but since they discontinued the PHYTO 9 which was the gold standard or platinum standard for hair because it actually soaked in, had macadamia oil in, which enhanced your natural hair pattern! It did not have xanthan gum. It actually helped your hair strengthen and grow longer. I am very unhappy with the new updated version of the PHYTO7. But I still have not found anything on the market yet that compares to the previous product so until I find that, I’m stuck with buying this new version, but this will be the last time I buy this new version, because I have noticed it straightens my hair, which I do not like it takes the natural curl and wave out and I’ve been losing a lot more hair since I’ve been using the new updated version so I advised caution, extreme caution, especially if your middle age and your hair is thinning, male or female, it does not matter.
