Finally a comfortable golf shoe
I have been wearing 9.5 medium for years. Recently, I've noticed that this size, which used to be comfortable, is now pinching in both length and width. As I have now taken up golf, the tight shoes were a problem. Enter the NB Contend 2. I needed a shoe with a low collar due to an old ankle injury. I took a chance on these and sized up both length and width to 10 wide. Once they arrived, I took them to the range. A revelation! For once, my feet did not hurt before, during, or after playing. I am now looking for them in different colors. Good job, NB.

Not waterproof
These were not waterproof. I had a pair a few years ago that were and got these for this season. Noticed the few few times on the course. Feet SOAKED. Contacted New Balance and they did refund my money and I got gym shoes instead. The fit was comfortable, but we play early with dew on the ground and wet socks for 4 hours is no fun.

Works, but stiff
I’ve been wearing these shoes for several months now hoping they would “break-in”. They still feel like they did the day I got them. They’re not super uncomfortable, are true to size, but pretty stiff. Wouldn’t recommend.

Too Tuggt
I usually wear 10 5 in New Balance but golf shoes I bought in that size pinch my toes & haven't loosened up in three years I've had them.

great for days I walk the course
These golf shoes are very comfortable, especially for walking the course. I have a narrow ankle and I like a slightly wider toe box and these shoes do it for me.

Love but New Balance needs to figure out widths
I'm about to give this review 0 stars as while I've been writing this in the email form, it's deleted on me THREE times. But as far as the shoe goes... reviews said it runs narrow so I ordered a wide (note: I'm always an 11 regular). I'm glad I did because it feels good -- maybe a smidge too wide but I'd rather have that than tight/irritating. But it is weird that New Balance calls standard shoes a "B width" when B width in all of history has meant narrow. Likewise, they call wide shoes "D width" when D in all of history means regular/normal. Perhaps New Balance should figure their sizing out to not confuse people -- Standard should be D & Wide should be W or EE.
