'Jennings' Knee High Boot

I wanted to love this pair of boots so much, so I ordered one in regular, and one in wide calf, not sure which one would fit better. I am a 16" circumference and 5'2 (short legs, muscular calves, average/curvy/athletic body type, 130lbs). I am normally a size 7 in boots, so I ordered both pairs in 7. The wide calf was TOO wide for me. A whole hand can be placed inside the boots after I zipped it up. The shaft also goes up too high and cuts into my knees. I know if I shoved jeans in there (even bell bottom or wide legs) it would fit well because there was so much room.. but this would be a problem if I want to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. The leather was soft and the color is beautiful. I want to love it but the wide calf does not do it for me, and the regular was on the opposite spectrum where it was uncomfortable when I zipped it up.. no room for my calves to breathe. I wouldn't be able to tuck jeans in there and feel comfortable with the normal pair. Both pair of boots went back. :( I do not recommend this pair of regular (non-wide) boots to people with average wide calf. I only recommend this boots to those with long legs (taller than 5'3) and normal calves (between 14"-15" circumference). I don't think this would look good on people with very skinny calves either. Stinks for people with calf circumference between 15-17", I think, because neither the normal or the wide calf will fit. Also, people my height with short legs.. forget it.. :( shaft height cuts in my knees.

This is a nice boot, good quality. The leather feels nice and the color is rich and vibrant. I took one star, because even though I like the boots, they were not narrow enough for my calves. I have been looking for a really long time for boots that are narrow enough (and nice enough), but I haven't been able to find them. These ones are adjustable, but not to make the shaft narrower, just wider. For this reason, I had to return them. For average or even wider calves, these boots are great.

I bought these boots in black last year (similar style, but buckle is different). They were my favorite boots for the season. The cognac color looks gorgeous and I can't wait to wear them. They are boots you can wear all day long and your feet will not be tired.

I was thrilled to finally see some boots in wide width- not wide calf. I've never needed wide calf boots and have found plenty to have excess space in the calves. My ideal size is 9.5 wide, but most brands don't make wide widths in half sizes as you get higher. So this was exciting. However, these are comically narrow. I cannot imagine the width of the regular boot as the 'w' size was terribly narrow. Yes,leather stretches, but my foot was over the edge of the sole of the shoe significantly. I think it must just be this brand. So be sure you know you can wear this particular brand since it does not seem to match others. The regular width calf was also too small for me. I've never had boots I couldn't zip all the way up. These, I couldn't quite zip. Very tiny. They also didn't look great in person. They look a little cheap. Even if they fit, I don't feel like they'd be terribly comfortable. I don't think they'd be terrible if you had very very narrow feet and thin calves, but the foot bed didn't seem fantastically comfortable or anything. If you have wide feet, run run away. If you have narrow feet, you've found your fit.

I've had the hardest time finding boots that are cute, comfy, and don't leave my ankles and calves swimming in. These are perfect in every way! FYI, they are a tiny bit narrow in the shoe as well. I ordered my true size (7 1/2M) and they're perfect, but my feet have always been slightly narrow in medium width shoes.

I ordered a 9 W, because I have bunions and wide feet. It is so hard to find fashionable cute boots with a wide width foot and these were pretty comfy. The color is awful and the gold buckles are not cute! I am going to exchange them for the brown.
