Darry Leather Loafer (Women)

Oh, Naturalizer. I love the style of your shoes, and when I can get a fit that actually works for me, they are some of the most comfortable shoes that I own. I know this brand tends to run narrow, which is true for this shoe. What is unusual about it is that it ALSO runs long. I am usually a size 6 and sometimes need a wide size depending on shoes; in Naturalizer I am nearly always a 6W, occasionally a 6.5. But the 6W in this was so long I could slide a pencil between the heel and the back of my shoe and couldn't take even a careful step indoors without my heels slipping out. This wouldn't be a problem...IF this brand actually carried wide sizes below a size 6, I could just order a 5.5W. But, no. A 6W is going to be too long and a 5.5 might fit in length but will definitely be too narrow on my foot. I absolutely love the style of this shoe, the arch support and padding are my ideal, but I just cannot wear them in the available sizes. The construction seems to be up to Naturalizer's usual standards. The entire sole is made of a lightweight, foamlike material - I'm not sure what it is, but these shoes are much lighter than you'd expect given how bulky they are. I do think the tread might be slightly lacking for slippery surfaces, because it's not actually rubber, but I was fine walking around my house. They are also shinier in photos than in person, but otherwise look exactly the same. So I guess if they do fit you buy a pair for me, because I can't.
