'Nirvana' Midi Robe

I was in search of the perfect robe. I tried 5 robes from Nordstrom and this Nirvana robe was one of the 5. I also tried Giraffe at Home chenille robe, an UGG robe (Blanche), a Ralph Lauren robe, and a Nordstrom brand robe. I chose this particular robe by Natori because I liked the price & noticed it got a lot of 5 star reviews. I liked the color a lot (aqua marine). It was beautiful. However I didn't like the look of the robe on me. My first complaint was the sleeves were VERY long. They hung over my wrists and I was constantly pushing them up. Also, the robe was bunchy around my hips. It was soft, but it wasn't slimming on me. I'm an 8/10 size and don't need any help accentuating the hips. This robe ended up looking a little frumpy on me. I ended up loving the Nordstrom quilted robe. it was soft, slimming, and just the right length for me (just below my knees). I almost didn't buy the Nordstrom brand one but it had so many 5 stars that I threw it in my cart at the last minute. It was the keeper for me. This robe was not.

I had to wait a long time for this robe--it was backordered twice! Am I ever glad I did wait for it. The color is soft--a really "nothing" gray--not a yellow or blue gray-- and surprisingly easy on the eyes. I'm not sure anymore that a strong color is a welcome sight early in the morning... What gives this item 5 stars is the cut of the garment. For reasons I cannot explain (no darts or special-looking shaping), this robe is really flattering. There is no bulk and NO CLING. By some magic, it's slimming. The belt doesn't make the waist area look thick, as most do. How could this be? I'm hopeful that you, too, will find that this is not the prettiest robe, but that YOU will be your prettiest in it.

I purchased this robe in white last week and loved it so much that I went ahead and bought one in the Aqua Marine color. I'm pretty petite and wear a Petite XS in most clothing. I haven't found a robe that fit me this well in years - they are always way too large and I end up feeling and looking "lost" in them. When my husband saw how the white robe fit, he said "you really should get another"...I didn't need much convincing. I live in Arizona and the weight of this robe is perfect - not heavy but with a light, comfy weight that gives you just enough warmth without being too warm. I am around 4' 11" and this robe hits below my knee perfectly - around mid-calf. If you are looking for a well fitting and very comfy robe, this is the one.

I'm enjoying my new Natori robe that I got in the blush color. I didn't have a robe in this length and weight and it fills the need very well. It's not too heavy, not too light and could be worn to answer the door if you had to. It's not so much sexy but it's pretty, functional, and comfy. The sleeves are great as they're not big and bell shaped and don't get in the way. They can even be easily rolled up a bit if you need to. The blush color looks as soft as the robe feels. Love it!

This is the best bathrobe I have ever purchased. I am 60 years old and buy at least one every year -- searching for that perfect everything. This is it. The interior tie is substantial and doesn't slip away. The fabric is heavy enough to allow me to wear it without revealing too much. The cuffs turn back easily when washing my face. It is simply wonderful. I am ordering another for backup and getting four more for Christmas gifts. It's that good.

This robe is lightweight but warm. But not too warm. The amaretto color is much lighter than the photo and is a beautiful warm latte. I also own the purple, it is just that nice.
