The only brush I recommend

I recently started building out my makeup brushes - I truly believe that the brushes make a HUGE difference in how your products work so if we're spending the $$ on the product, it is a shame to use a brush that doesn't do it justice. That being said, I have done a TON of research of my own trial and error and reading blogs, articles and watching countless youtube tutorials and reviews. I have some other favorites but I honestly thing anyone who uses blush should own this brush. It actually makes blush application enjoyable, not just a step in the application process. The dome shape has something to do with it but also the quality of the bristles and the ergonomic handle also play a big role.This brush is for powder blushers and distributes the pigment evenly and allows you to build the color and blend beautifully. Man I love this brush. If you're considering it - DO it. If you're browsing, go check it out in person and have a Nars rep show you! ps - I have owned it for about 6 months and have experienced no shedding. I wash it weekly with a mild cleanser and allow it to air dry for care.

Trendy inadequate overpriced whatever . .

I love brushes so I thought I'd try this one. I expected a whole lot more out of a brush at this price point, but I'm used to the quality of Trish McEvoy which I Can buy for price of this brush. I compared the 'Yachiyo' to several of my brushes from Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Tarte, Urban Decay, Louise Young, Chanel, and Dior. 'Yachiyo' quickly fell to the bottom of the pack. This is smaller than I expected. The head is about the size of an egg. The handle is wrapped with an uncomfortable textured material that doesn't feel good on my fingers. The brush is soft, but too small to quickly and efficiently diffuse powder easily without effort. That is much better achieved with a brush like Louise Young's beautiful Super Fan Brush LY20 which is a giant soft fan brush. It diffuses better than any brush I've ever seen. It can even soften and correct an over zealous application of blush and bronzer. A more traditional option would be Trish McEvoy's mistake proof brush (stipple). Yachiyo's seemed impotent in it's attempt to diffuse blush in comparison. Overall this is an overpriced, novelty brush with an uncomfortable handle. I returned it.

The only brush I recommend

New Favorite Brush

I don't understand the negative reviews for this brush. It is absolutely perfect in my opinion! You can tell it is high quality from the ease and the way it blends and diffuses the color evenly. My husband even made a comment that my blush was applied well the first day I used this brush. It makes a huge difference for me and I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. I just wish I had bought it sooner. The bristles are very soft. I have read a lot of negative reviews at how people feel like it "scratches" the skin, but I was pleasantly surprised at how soft it felt. I originally bought the brush for its performance, not how it felt on the skin. If you want a high quality blush/face brush, pick this one! As with all nice things, you must take care of this brush. I have never been disappointed with anything from Nars!

great

love the brush!it wasn't available for a long time so when i saw this i purchased it immediately. i now own 3 of this and it's the perfect brush to apply bright nars blushes. it's so soft and dries easily. i use it everyday and wash it every 2-3days. expensive but worth the price.

Love this brush!

I love how this brush applies different powder products to all areas of the face. Because of the shape of the bristles and the handle, you can apply powders either in a large sweep or in a distinct area (blush) - it's definitely a multi-use brush. I use it to apply finishing powder, bronzer and blush. I have not had any issues with shedding. This is a must-have!

Favorite makeup brush

The is my favorite makeup brush. I don't use a lot of makeup or keep a lot of brushes, I just use this single brush for both loose powder and blush. The wrapped handle feels nice, it is easy to hold, it has a Zen look to it. It is small enough to pack in my travel kit. Highly recommend.
