What it does: It neutralizes discoloration and is resistant to humidity and sweat. Tone-correcting technology works instantly and over time to neutralize redness, dullness and discoloration for more even, uniform skin, while a unique blend of skin care ingredients smoothes skin while enhancing its natural beauty. It contains a proprietary blend of first-to-market treatment pigments and advanced flexible polymer. The pigments are treated by a unique polymer that make them water-, sweat- and sebum-resistant and, unlike typical treated pigments, they weightlessly deliver long-wear complete coverage without masking the skin for a naturally perfected look. The advanced flexible polymer moves with the skin to provide a comfortable, breathable feel and a natural look that lasts for 16 hours while providing moisture barrier protection for a nondrying feel.
How to use: Shake, pump and blend. Because of the unique technology, always shake the bottle before dispensing the product. Pump the formula onto the back of your hand. One pump will deliver all you need for full, natural-looking coverage. Working with your fingertips, apply a small amount in the center of your face and blend outward working in sections. Work quickly to blend the product, as it perfects and sets in a moment. Always warm liquid foundation in your hand before applying.

FAVORNFOUNDATION !!!
Nars has hit the nail on the head with this foundation. It is all day luminous!!!!
Feels extremly light on the face and very natural looking.
Nar All Day Luminous is great for environments that is very humid in weather or dry heat.
This Foundation is light to medium coverage so if you need to hide any flaws, I suggest a concealer that that is stay proof. Must be light with the concealer or the whole effect of lightweight foundation will be ineffective.
You must shake the bottle before application.
Pump according to your desired coverage... remember this is light weight, serum like.
I pumped onto the back of my hand used a beauty blender to apply on face and then used my fingers to move around. Work quickly because it dries pretty fast.
No setting powder necessary if you don't use concealer.
I used a mineral powder to set because a I have 2 flaws areas I wanted to cover with concealer.
Love Love Love for an everyday look with very little effort.
Great in warm to humid climates.

Not convinced
I have been using the sheer matte for years, and when I recently went to reorder I didn't find it, this new one popped up so I ordered it. I applied it per the instructions and it just doesn't look as good as the sheer matte It took away the warmth from my skin color, and when I washed it off it stained my clarisonic brush head. Am I now going to have to add another step to my evening process to get this foundation off! The hunt for a new foundation in my future.

Not holy grail for me.
Pros:
-Amazing fast coverage
-Lightweight
-Healthy looking skin
-Glowy skin
Cons:
-NEEDS to be set to get rid of tacky and greasy feel.
-Does not last all day for me.
-My skin has little bumps (like clogged pores not rash) by the end of the day. They always go away by the next day due to my amazing skin care.
I use this foundation when I am in a rush and don't have time to build coverage. All other times I use
I would recommend this foundation for people with normal to oily skin. If you have dry skin make sure you moisturize well before use. REMEMBER A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. ONLY use a pump to two pumps to cover your whold face and spot cover with foundation after.

NARS - Love it
I have tried numerous foundations for many years and this is the absolute best. Lightweight, great coverage, and long wearing. I am 60 years old, blessed with nice skin, and this highlights my skin. I do use it with a primer which only enhances the foundation. I also use my fingers to blend, not brushes which seems to make a difference in the application. Since it is a water based product the heat of my fingers seems to make the foundation really pliable I would highly recommend this product to anyone. And of course, if it does not work for you, Nordstroms is number one to work with on the return.

Beautiful Foundation
I am 61 yrs old, my skin is super-fair and sun damaged. I have pursued a holy grail foundation all my life and finally found it. I got the shade Gobi- since I have more pink undertones in my face, this shade (yellow based) is perfect for correcting that. Once I mastered how to apply it (just gently pressed into the skin, do not apply with a brush or any long strokes)- it really makes my skin look wonderful. Very buildable, one doesn't need very much at all to get the job done. It's thin. A little goes a long way. I just adore it. It lasts most of a long day, no oxidizing on me. You need a primer (Nars makes some). It is really comfortable and lightweight to wear. I love love this. Hope this helps.
PS_ If it's like this on me, it would be gorgeous on young skin!!

Drying
I tried to love this product but it ended up being drying on my skin and accentuated dry patches and pores. I tried a few different primers with this foundation but nothing seemed to do the trick. Pros: It goes on feeling lightweight with medium coverage and evened out my skin tone with only one or two drops. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. If you have dry/combination you might want to try it for yourself to see how it feels on your skin. This might be a product That will work better for me in the summer.
