Julius Fisherman Sandal (Men)

My husband ordered these Naot 'Julius' Fisherman Sandals after looking at several other brands (Timberland, Dr Martens). These have an utmost classic look comprising a deeper brown color, a closed heel, and a buckle closure (vs tacky velcro). He says these sandals are extremely cool and comfortable out of the box, no break in period needed. Wore them outside at a tennis tournament throughout a hot 90 degree weekend, but would also wear them to an executives' weekend lunch. He noted how glad he was that he had sized up - normally takes a 10 or 10.5 but ordered these in an 11 which was perfect, allowing ample room to be casual and let your toes breathe.

I owned a pair of Naot sandals for 11 years. This pair was going to replace them. I put them on and started walking around and immediately discovered that something inside the sandal was rubbing against my foot and scratching it. I discovered a black piece of leather, on both, that appears to be perhaps a reinforcement that was doing it. They did not seem to be defective just a very bad design. So, these were returned, sadly.
