On Saturday, September 25th, 2010, Nordstrom on Michigan Avenue in Chicago heralded its "Fall Cosmetic Trend Show" which featured not only a wonderful Fall fashion expose but also highlighted the top world-famous cosmetic vendors' latest and greatest products. The entire experience was a celebration of the senses as customers had the opportunity to learn about techniques, styling and applications of the "Best of the Best" in the amazing world of skincare and beyond. The wonderful Store Manager and Cosmetics/Fragrance Manager deserve the highest praise for putting this entire production together and for making it a brilliant success! They are not only excellence unparalleled in their field, they are also magnificent personally. And of all the Nordstrom locations I have visited, the Michigan Avenue store has the most professional, courteous, customer-focused associates in the U.S. It is during this Trend Show that I had the immense pleasure of meeting one of the elegant founders of Chantecaille who came in specifically to talk about this line and assist customers with questions and applications. She was so gracious and knowledgeable that she epitomized Chantecaille beautifully and made her customers feel valued, respected and very much appreciated. I mentioned to her that I have been using the Nano Gold Collection for over a month now and have noticed a startling, dramatic difference in my skin texture, tone and appearance in just this short period of time. I had high hopes for the cream as I love Chantecaille but although rich this cream didn't wow me. I have to say given the price a part of me was relieved. It is very hydrating and the skin feels fresh after application. But there's was something just not quite right for my skin, a sort of stickiness. I also didn't like the gold glittery flecks in the cream that sit on the skin. This is fine when wearing foundation or make up over it. 3 stars due to the price and how it suited my skin.
