Nagoya Desert Mule (Men)

As someone who has been wearing Birkenstocks for the past 18 years, I've purchased Boston, London and Arizona (I dislike Arizonas due to the open toes), prior to this Nagoya. However, the Birkenstock Nagoya Desert Mule has redefined my expectations of what a classy, comfortable, and versatile mule can be. These mules take the best features of the Boston and elevate them to a new level of sophistication and comfort. The adjustable strap, where the Boston is limited somewhat, not only enhances the fit but also gives a sleeker, more refined look that surpasses the Boston in style. The rich roast leather, akin to a coffee bean in its depth and warmth, adds an incredible touch of sophistication that you wouldn’t typically associate with clogs. This combination makes the Nagoya both elegant, classy and cool—perfect for anyone who wants to up their game—as they say, shoes can up or lower your overall appearance. When it comes to the insole, I’ve always preferred the original cork sole as my Nagoya has over the softbed option. The original cork provides unmatched long-lasting support that doesn’t compromise over time, unlike the softbed soles that eventually smooth out and lose their arch support, and then make the mule loose.
