This is the PERFECT travel bag and shopping tote!!
Just love the super smooshy super lightweight factor of this bag. My 4th MZ wallace, this is the lightest with no extra hardware zippers and embelishments. So comfortable and really like that I can crossbody it as well. The black hardware doesn't compete with my silver toned or gold toned handbags; it's just understated. Used this at the mall-don't like waterbottles in my Tom Ford flap bag- it was perfect to carry light jacket and smaller shopping bags = so much easier to manage. Our city doesn't provide shopping bags with purchase in many stores. I carry this in stores all the time. This would make a perfect carry-on for airtravel. It doesn't scream "steal me" if I set it down next to me, and I don't feel like it attracts attention-that's what my designer handbags and jewelry are for :) I tend to like leather for my handbags, but some could use this as a handbag, as it has the typical amazing pocket system that MZ Wallace is known for. You can clip the sides down to make it more compact looking.

Disappointed, straps problematic
Likes: the hardware, how lightweight the bag is, the fact that pouches are included, the adjustable silhouette
Dislikes: shoulder straps are crazy slippery...will not allow for shoulder carrying with hands free; the long alternate strap is so long you'd have to be either very tall or very wide to make it useable, on the shortest setting it hangs down to the back of my knees, and I am 5'7"; the included pouches feel thinner than zip lock bags and I have nicer resizable grocery store bags

Sutton
I own several MZ Wallace bags, among them two Suttons which I bought 2 years ago. I have used these Sutton bags regularly as travel bags. While the straps keep sliding off my shoulders, exactly as another reviewer noted, the long attachable shoulder strap is practical. It's a big bag and gets bulky when filled, but as a carry on I like it a lot. When I saw new colors of the Sutton on Nordstrom's website I went to check them out in person at the store. The features and measurements of the Sutton bag appear the same, but the material definitely changed since I bought mine, and unfortunately not for the better. While the quilted material in mine is plush and thick yet super lightweight and pliable, the newest fabric is thinner, rather stiff and it feels markedly cheaper. The metallic bags especially felt and looked like made out of plastic tarp, hence only three stars, and those are for the good features of the bag. I hope MZ Wallace returns to the previous, higher quality fabric.

Large Sutton Nylon Satchel
The size is perfect for gym bag use. There are compartments inside to fit an iPad mini and then there are three additional zip pouches inside. I also really like having the optional strap to wear as cross body. However, when I do carry by the shoulder the handles slide off and I find myself constantly putting back on my shoulder. The bag would be perfect if the handles didn't slide off.

Love This bag ..,
I own several designer bags, I'm partial to satchels and clutches but since I bought this bag in black patent I don't use anything else. I just bought a second one in Bordeaux color block and a camo tote as well. The Sutton is large, comes with 3 pouches, and can be used cross body. I prefer the sides buckled down which gives it a structured shape. It's as large as an LV Speedy 40.

Great bag
I just got this bag in black... I have several designer bags in various sizes, and this one is just as classic. Very lightweight and can hold a lot without losing shape. I ordered this one for me and the metro medium tote for my sisters 40th bday (same size as my lv medium neverfull), and the sutton is decently larger... If you are deciding between the two, the metro tote is really a perfect size. At first I thought the sutton was too large for me because I'm a small girl, but after trying it with the crossbody, I decided that this bag is extremely practical as I can hold a little or a lot, and I can use the crossbody when I'm holding my kids at the same time. Plus, I don't have any big bags, making this one more ideal for me. It's worth the money... I know it's not leather, but bags like this or tumi are worth the price because they are well made and durable. Plus it looks like chanel, without the price tag and weight of their bags :)

Roomy yet lightweight. Can pack a load.
Purchased the large Sutton in black for business trips to SE Asia. The intercontinental long haul trips require a stop over/overnight layover in N Asia, so I pack all essentials, travel size, of course, in the Sutton bag. I include extra clothing and light outerwear, in case, I get stranded somewhere or my checked in luggage is ever lost. Ipad/laptop nestled inside between the neck pillow and sweats. This roomy, lightweight, cross body bag is a favorite. I usually wear it crossbody vs. over the shoulder for hands free mobility. Also, over-the-shoulder does not work very well when bag is filled to the bulk. The hand straps keep slipping off my shoulders so cross body is the best option when travelling.
