I've been through so many handbags, looking for 'the one.' I can't even count. It's been years. But then I happened upon this vision of perfection. I have finally found it. The perfect bag! Ever! Why, you ask? The answers are simple, and plentiful: 1) a plethora of pockets. I love pockets. And this bag has. So. MANY. 10 inside, 6 outside. I'm in pocket heaven. It's therapy for my hyper-organizational impulses; 2) Lightweight. It's so important to me, since I commute everyday, and part of my commute involves walking to the office from the train; I have my iPad in there, my laptop, along with everything I need for the day, and it still feels great on the shoulder; 3) Classic styling. This bag does not conform to any trends, yet still exudes boatloads of style; 4) Teflon coated for water/stain resistance. I'm a full time working mom to three boys. Enough said. 5) Perfect size. This bag is not too big, not too small for my 5'3" frame. It's the Goldilocks of handbags. 6) Versatility of straps. When I'm commuting, I wear it crossbody. On the weekends, if I'm out running errands with the kids, or taking them to their extra curricular events, I use the double handles over my shoulder (the strap drop is perfect(. If I'm out shopping, it's back to crossbody. So versatile. Overall, it's perfect in each and every way possible. I was hesitant to purchase a nylon bag at this price point, but am not disappointed-- this bag is well-made, practical, beautiful, lightweight, stylish yet trend-resistant. I purchased the currant, which is a beautiful, rich eggplant color with a gray-beige lining and gold hardware. (My monitor settings showed a dull gray-purple.) I was concerned about the stiff straps mentioned in other reviews, but they are actually very comfortable, even when the bag is full. The cross-body option is convenient. This bag is large, but it is flexible and molds to you, so it doesn't overwhelm my 5'3" frame. The pockets (6 exterior, 10 interior) are well-placed and the variety of sizes provides a place for everything. The bottom has 5 leather feet to protect the bag, although the bag is so large that I'm not sure if they will help much. The nylon is smooth and has a great sheen, and the leather trim is durable and adds style. I just took this bag on a trip and it was the perfect carry-on. The large back exterior pocket holds an iPad, the large front pocket is great for my wallet and sunglasses, the smaller front pockets are perfect for lotions and lipsticks, and the side (elasticized) pockets hold a water bottle and my phone for security and easy access. The organization is ideal for traveling! Inside, I had my 13-inch laptop, files, magazines, purse, sweater, snacks, and toiletries, with room to spare. This bag could easily be an overnighter, or even a weekender for a light packer. It is marketed as a diaper bag and comes with a changing pad, but I don't have kids and there is no indication that it's a diaper bag (unlike many that come with labels or baby-themed hardware). I think it is too big to be my around-town bag, but it is great for work, travel, the gym-- or diapers, I guess. I could write pages about how much I love it, so I'll stop here!

This is the best and the most comfortable travel bag OR an every day bag for a busy working Mom. It's light, easy to clean, waterproof and have tons of pocket and other compartments. You will never have to search for your car keys, IPhone, lipstick or a pack of chewing gum. If you travel, you can easily fit your laptop or an IPAD and still have room for your make up, favority book and your kid's sweatshirt. The bag is very stylish becuase of the bright red lining and gold hardware. When I first saw this bag, I was convinced that it was Prada. MZ Wallace markets this as a diaper bag and in fact it comes with a changing pad but it doesn't look like a diper bag at all. I wish I knew about this bag when my girls were little. This would have been a dream diaper bag! That being said, "Kate' bag is so versitile, you can use is every day. It is especially great for fall/winter month because of the fabric it is made from.

I agonized about purchasing this because of the size and already having another M Z Wallace that I love for daily use. But finally I ordered Kate with overnight shipping for a unexpected business trip that required that I carry files with me. WOW The pockets are fantastic. I love the M Z Wallace nylon bags because my cell phone is instantly accessible in a front pocket----no more missed calls fumbling, unzipping, searching in the black depths of a bag. The side pocket is perfect for an umbrella or a water bottle. The red of the lining is a beautiful red. These bags are so well made that it is a pleasure just to unzip a pocket and see the gorgeous red lining. Everyday we should use/wear only what is well made, long lasting, and classy for a small dose of happiness. This holds everything essential--13" laptop, tablet, the included lovely cosmetic bag, sunglasses, snacks, Kindle, small zip bag for medication/vitamins, small zip bag for gloves and a thin and long black cashmere scarf, etc, etc, etc. Yes, it seems expensive. Yes, it is so well made and so detailed that the price is actually low. Yes, it works to carry everything! Yes, it is so comfortable as a cross-body. This is the best thing I have ever purchased for a busy complicated life. Now I am worrying----what will I do when this someday wears out??? BTW---keep the diaper changing pad! It's great not just for babies. It is also wonderful to have if one misses a connection and must sit on the floor-----or change a tire.

I purchased this bag in Dec. 2011 and it was fantastic. It is a great bag for work, school, shopping, everything. However, I picked up the bag one day and the leather loop attaching the crossbody strap to the bag snapped. I had had it for about 6 months. I brought it to a Nordstrom store and they were incredibly helpful. They offered to have their seamstress look at it, and while she offered to fix it, she was very honest that the size and weight of the leather used in the construction just wasn't up to the task of holding a bag of this size. While I got a lot of use out of it, this is unacceptable for a bag at this price point. Nordstrom refunded my purchase with no hassle (I did have the receipt, and I am certain this helped), and now I am on the hunt for a new bag. Although this bag is beautiful and I received a ton of compliments on it, I must say I would not purchase it again.

I saw WZ Wallace handbags first in New York and loved them. The Kate is lightweight and all pockets zip closed with high quality zippers (even better than my Tumi). I have so many women stop me and ask about the purse in the airport and say it was just the purse they were looking for. I know that at least 2 coworkers are buying one. I highly recommend and would mark 10 stars if I could. Doing traveling for the last 10 years, it is the best handbag I have purchased. Light weight, practical, and elegant. Easy to find anything quickly.
