This unisex scent is carnal and supple. The iris concrete offers woody and leathery facets for a perfect blend. Empowered by a sensual vanilla bourbon, the result is what Principal Perfumer Marie Salamagne calls 'a skin scent that explodes.' A fragrance with an unforgettable trail, as memorable as YSL’s iconic muses.

Style: Earthy, woody.

The ink note is well defined at first spray, it settles in to a warm, clean cozy vanilla-y musk. I like to combine it with L’Eau Papier from Diptyque. Will rebuy.

Not what I expected

Dark and sexy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Muse is dark, sexy, and a little dangerous. It doesn’t walk into a room trying to get attention—it just gets it. There’s something mysterious and almost addictive about it: deep, sensual, confident, but still beautifully put together. This is definitely an after-dark perfume for me. Not sweet and innocent, not trying to be pretty. Muse smells like confidence, heels, low lighting, and knowing exactly what you’re doing.

Sophisticated, cool and not too sweet

This is a unique fragrance. It is a delightful and slightly mysterious blend. It doesn’t overwhelm and feels perfect for either day or night and in any season as it sits close to the skin. I love a vanilla bourbon note and an orris / irisy note. And when I saw that it had an ink accord, I was intrigued. This is a gem. And the color of the perfume is beautiful too.
