Emily Penny Loafer

I loved the chocolate brown as soon as I saw the catalog! I ordered my regular size, a 7 1/2 N, and it fit exactly as expected. It looks great with both slacks and a skirt, and has good support. (It paired well with the JW Pei mocha handbag that is part of the sale.) I am so happy that Munro didn’t go out of business as originally reported. They are always my “go to” Anniversary Sale shoe source.

Was very excited to get some new Munro penny loafers at the anniversary sale. I know a different company owns them now so wasn’t sure if the loafers would fit like my other Munro bit loafers. Unfortunately, the Emily is not quite as narrow as I hoped for and doesn’t fit quite as well. The length is TTS but it slips a bit in the heel. I bought 8 1/2 narrow just like my others but it just isn’t a perfect fit. I haven’t worn them yet but I will plan on keeping them unless Nordstrom gets in more Munro leather loafers for fall that have the fit I’m accustomed to. I bought the brown and the wine colors and I’m guessing I’ll need to purchase something to keep the heel from slightly slipping.

Loafer is well-made and suede looks expensive. Given the angle of the toe box, this fits slightly narrow and I would suggest sizing 1/2 size up to accommodate the angle. I wear between a 9-9.5 and will exchange for 9.5.

Monroe makes a beautiful shoe. But their wide are not wide; more like a medium. However, since more brands have been coming out with Wide width options, I’ve bought them and discovered that Monroe‘s wide is much narrower comparatively. It’s nice to have a shoe that fits right and I am not willing to go back to our narrower width even if the shoe is beautiful. Comfort is much more important than looks!

Purchased this Munro Loafer in Wine Suede, it is a good quality shoe, and it fits like a glove, very comfortable. Normal shoe size is a 9 or 9.5 depending on shoe. I sized up to a 10M in this loafer.

This is a very nice chocolate brown shoe for fall. However, the customer reviews said it runs narrow and suggested ordering a wide, which would fit more like a medium width. WRONG. My typical size is 8 M. The 8 W was way too wide! They also had a gap and slipped at the heel. I’m frustrated with the fit, so I’m not sure whether I will reorder.
