Love this serum. Hate the smell.

I have a love hate relationship with this serum....I love what it does for my skin, I've started and stopped this serum many times, and it was hard to keep using it consistently. I've finally decided that I have use up the bottle, bc I'm too lazy to return it. But what I've noticed is when I do use it regularly, my skin definitely looks brighter. Its the smell I hate, it has the faint smell of fish... It doesn't last long, it takes a couple of minutes for it to fade. Seriously 1 star for the smell. I finally figured out how to get around it, I have a bottle of aloe vera mist that is scented. So after I apply the serum, I spritz my face with the mist and that takes care of the smell. So the verdict is I will continue to buy this...it's shockingly effective on my skin.

Terrible CS

Don't try to return anything to Nordstrom. It's stressful and on purpose. Been a long time customer but will re consider ordering again. Go to Bloomingdale's or Macys.

fishy smell

I am a fan of The Ordinary products. I have been using CE Ferulic from a medical grade company for over 15 years. When I saw the ordinary has the radiance I immediately ordered one. I like it so far but every time I use it I notice a fishy smell like shrimp. Is it supposed to smell like this? The previous Ce Ferulic I used does not smell like this.

Alright but smells of wee...

I bought this serum after doing the online quiz about my skin requirements. I can't say I notice a massive difference when I use it over anything else but the worst part about it is the smell. I have seen someone else say it smells of fish which I completely agree with but it also smells a bit like old urine? Think car park stairwell... Really off-putting to have that smell on your face and hands afterwards. I'll finish the bottle but won't re-buy, personally I feel like I get better results from hyaluronic acid.

Love it! But it has a weird smell!

I bought this product a month ago. Shipping was easy and fast. I started using it immediately and I love the way it makes my skin feel! I’m noticing a more even texture already and I’ve kept it as a part of my skin regimen. My only problem is (and the reason for 3/5 stars): after applying it, it smells like fish/meat for a bit on my skin. It’s a really peculiar smell. It’s not repulsive but it’s not exactly pleasant and it is strong. I smelt the serum in the bottle and it doesn’t smell bad so I’m assuming it has something to do with application that sets the scent off? It’s so peculiar that I ended up googling it and while there wasn’t heaps of results, there were some that described the same smell as me so I don’t think I’m crazy! 😅 It goes away eventually and is not present during the day so it doesn’t bother me too much. I think the pros outweigh the con of the initial step so I’ve continued using it.

Did nothing

I've used up half of the product and saw no difference in my skin. The texture is nice and I like the way it feels on my skin, but I don't think I will keep on using this. After half a bottle I think the difference should be visible, but I saw no improvement in my skin texture or appearance. Also the smell isn't the best but it's not the worst in the world

Strong, unpleasant fish odor

I do wish I had known this had such a strong fish odor before purchasing. It is now opened and I cannot return to the stockist I purchased it from. I care about my skin and appreciate the benefits this formula can have for it, but not enough to put up with such an unpleasant smell when there are other products on the market that achieve similar results without making my skin smelly. I see other reviewers note that the odor is temporary: I disagree, we musn't have the same sense of smell. This serum will unfortunately go to waste unless I can find someone to give it to who won't mind the odor.
