The Newbie High Waist Crop Straight Leg Jeans

I’ve really struggled to find a flattering straight leg jean that doesn’t have either a cuffed leg or a rough hem. I’m only 5’1”, 125lbs and I have an hourglass shape and it’s just hard to find the perfect pair of jeans. These are perfect. Exactly the right inseam, just the right amount of loose throughout the leg, they make my butt look great, they are so comfortable. I bought a pair at Nordstrom then ordered a second pair online. I love them.

I own many pair of Mother denim, so the fact that I keep reaching for these tells me I love them! They’re 100% cotton so they loosen up with more wear, which lends itself to that relaxed looked. I disagree with the description of the paint though, I don’t think they should be considered high waisted. They’re definitely not!

I think Mother has a winner here, but I knocked one star off for sizing because these run soooo small. As another reviewer noted, 2-3 sizes. Thanks so this person, I bought 2 sizes up from my normal size 31 and they’re still snug, but probably about right. For reference, I have a rectangle-apple body shape with a short torso, a not very defined waist, and about an29-inch inseam. These are midrise on me and because they’re more rigid, do suck the stomach in (hooray). I’m 5’4” and these do hit me at the ankle, though not quite as high as on the model pictured.

I am 5’4”, 124 lbs and these hit my ankles. Lower rise than I normally buy these jeans fit me perfectly and are so comfortable. Length is perfect with Birkenstocks or tennis shoes. They are my new everyday jeans. Love them

These run huge! I typically get a size 26 considering the fabric make up of these jeans but 26 was extremely big. I had to double check out. They gave me the right size which they did not to mention the crouch is super scrunched up and does not look good.

I usually wear a size 28 in most jeans. I recently bought a size 29, and everything else fit perfectly, except for the waist. There was about a 2-inch gap in the waist, which was a deal-breaker for me. These jeans felt like mid-rise. I have an athletic build 155lbs 5’4 with thick thighs and glutes, and I found them unflattering. Hopefully someone else can love them, back to nordys they go.
